About the Design:
Puhoro – Te Awa o Ruataniwha Flowing along the design, the puhoro forms represent Ruataniwha, the local awa that nourishes the whenua and connects the kura to its environment and history. The sweeping, rhythmic curves symbolise the movement of water and the journey of learning winding, powerful, and ever forward. The awa is a life source and a metaphor for knowledge itself always flowing, always shaping those who travel its path. It grounds the design in the whenua and reminds us that no matter how far one drifts, the river is always there to return to.
